Gerrit vandeHaar (vanGinckel.) born: about 1540
he is consider as a tribe father of the most vanGinkel's in the Netherlands.
Is however there still a number of tribes vanGinkel that all know a separate development and have no affinity with the tribe father vanGinckel (Gerrit vandeHaar.)
They ended up of course all Ginckel, an area what extended itself of,
Leersum to Amerongen, and the area at Ede
To the area of Leersum belonged the Ginckel.
To the area of Amerongen belonged the Ginckelse peats.
The most of Ginkels come from the area Leersum, Amerongen and this way their surname arose.
